What Now? Future in a world of AI

2022 will forever go down as changing the world as we know it. Why 2022? Because that was the year Chatgpt was released. That was the pivot point for a lot of industries.

Today, more blog posts are created by AI than by humans. The Dead Internet Theory is being talked about openly now. Good or bad, AI is here to stay.

So where does that leave us, the humans? Where does that leave us as workers? Will we still have jobs or will we be replaced by AI?

These are all questions I am unable to answer. But I do know this new technology has opened up doors for those of us who are introverts. Combine this with very affordable fast and reliable Internet and the possibilities are endless.

They are so endless in fact that many are struggling with decision paralysis. What career should I go into? What major should I study? Should I go to college or trade school?

What a blessing to have all these options! What a blessing to know we no longer have to follow traditional pathways if we don't want to.

I'm writing this blog post because I feel caught in between. I've had the joy of knowing good working relationships. The joy of sitting together with 30 women all focused on one goal.

At the same time, we now are able to stay comfortably in our homes and earn money. Possibly, we could earn more money by locking in and avoiding the office politics.

But that is my dilemma. I am an introvert but I must confess, working with others had its benefits. I miss being able to discuss my plans with other people. It energized me. I was able to study diligently for 4 hours each night. Working on my goals and future.

But the moment I stopped having that routine, I struggled. Call it lack of accountability. Call it lack of systems. I can honestly say looking back I was more productive working a full-time job than I've been working for myself.

So in a world where introverts are allowed to live and work in rural areas, how do we maintain accountability? How do we live our full potential and live peacefully? How do we get the connection we need without feeling overwhelmed?
